Joan Crawford and the robots!

This rather strange photograph has recently come up for sale on eBay. It is a publicity still from the 1933 film Dancing Lady. Listed on the Internet Movie Database as a musical comedy romance with the following brief description: “An attractive dancer is rescued from jail by a rich man, who helps her to have her first big opportunity at a musical play on Broadway.” The film had a budget of $923,000 and is noted for its Art Deco sets.
